Apple New iPads Unveiling On October 22 - Rumors About Features Heat Up

Apple Inc. is all set to sizzle the tablet market with the launch of latest iPads on October 22 - sources say. The news came to light when AllThingsD reported that sources familiar with the company's plans have confirmed the launch date for the new series of iPads at 22nd October this year. This means that the company is ready to update its device line in time for the holiday season. The latest iPads which are expected to feature lighter, thinner designs and more powerful processors, will be competing against theAmazon Kindle Fire and Samsung's Android tablet range.

Since we haven't received any official note or letter about the press event, speculations are being based on the event taking place at the iPhone 5S and 5C unveiling that happened in headquarters in Cupertino, California or the iPad Mini unveiling that happened at the California Theatre at San Jose. A lot of anticipation on the new iPad and a series of leaks later, the online reports are suggesting that the full-sized iPads will look just like last year's Mini, with more angled edges, a portrait shaped bezel, and a thinner design. The iPad Mini is also expected to feature upgraded internals and will be sporting new colors to match Apple's recently-launched iPhone 5S models. AllThingsD also suggests the minis will get a Retina Display.

The fifth-generation iPad, as it is being currently called, is also expected to feature an improved camera and be run by Apple's new 64-bit A7 chip.

Theefore, until and unless we land up on an official confirmation from Apple Inc., we would like to know your expectations from the new iPad launch event. Share your thoughts in comments.
